Book Review: Betsy-Tacy by Maud Hart Lovelace

Betsy-Tacy is the first in the charming Betsy, Tacy, and Tib Series by Maud Hart Lovelace.  Betsy and Tacy, both five years old at the beginning of the book, quickly become best friends when Tacy's family moves into the house across the street from Betsy.  Their imaginings, friendship, and ideas are both delightful and innocent.

This book is recommended for 7-10 year olds, however I read it and enjoyed it immensely!  These two young girls are just too adorable for words!

Violence: None
Indecency: None
Language: None
Warnings: Tacy's baby sister dies in chapter 8.  It doesn't go into detail, just states that baby Bee was sick and then that she died.  The chapter is handled very gracefully, and talks about how Betsy cheered up Tacy.
Age Level: 7 and up
